In the ongoing dispute between Israel and whoever is trying to kill them at the moment we have yet another incident where according to the news outlets Israel is to blame once again. The link to one article is below. Also I have made available 2 videos of news coverage of this event. Now that you have an idea of what the issue is about I would like to present an alternate point of view on the entire Israeli/Palestine issue. I will start off with this event. My understanding is that a large group of boats left from Turkey to bring supplies to the Gaza strip area because it has been under blockade for about 3 years from Israel and Egypt. Now this supposedly peaceful mission is well aware of the blockade and yet they choose to go anyway. This is not the first time. They are sponsored by an Islamic group to bring supplies and protest the blockade to Islamic people. They have all been trained in non violent confrontation and are instructed not to resist any advances from the Israelis. According to the video I saw on CNN they did not resist they attacked the soldiers. Now they were aware that the soldiers had a job to do and would definitely do it. Why were they even there? This is not the way to protest a blockade. You don’t try and break the blockade and then say you are peaceful. The very act of breaking the blockade is an act of provocation. How silly.

I can understand Israel’s position. Islamic decree sates that all Jews are to be killed. It is widely known in the Muslim world. So what is Israel to do? How do you negotiate with a foe that will not negotiate and will stop at nothing short of your extinction? Israel certainly has its unrealistic religious views as well. Both sides are not willing to negotiate due to their unshakeable religious dogma. This is what must be changed if there is ever to be a chance of Peace in this conflict. Also there has been so much damage and death on each side that people are constantly seeking revenge and retribution. This also must stop or it will continue forever.

The crazy fundamentalists on each side must stop. Each group must first view themselves as humans and not the chosen ones of their gods. They are like sandbox junkies, each one fighting for that extra inch in the sandbox but never willing to just step outside of the sandbox and see the situation for what it is. This will never stop until people change their ideals and put religion in the place it belongs, the realm of fantasy.

I believe that all involved in continuing this conflict are wrong because it will always be harmful to all involved. The lies must stop. When the lies stop the violence will stop. I do believe that the majority of people who live in this conflicted area want peace. Again we see a situation where the diluted demands of a few control the fate of so many. The blame game will never end until someone takes responsibility.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have taken time out of their lives to read my posts and to browse through our website. The response has been phenomenal. I must admit I only expected a few people to read my journal. I thought it would be a great way for me to write about my perspective on life. My wife and kids thought it was a great idea as they were spared my rants.

Again rather than answer each comment I am thanking all who have taken the time to write. With well over 200 positive comments in just a 79 days and the number of visitors growing daily beyond my expectations I am excited to see what the future holds. I am anticipating negative comments as well and I hope all those who disagree with my views express themselves as well. I mean come on I actually burned a bible in our video to create some controversy and still I have not heard one comment about it. I am shocked no one has picked up on this.

I am just a musician at heart who sees life with a unique perspective as I believe we all do. I am just willing to share it with others because I believe communication to be a key element in positive change.

This website was developed to give the world an opportunity to listen to our music and to see our message of peace. We decided to create what we considered to be very controversial imagery and lyrics to raise communication  and talk about issues that we feel needed to be addressed. It was important to us to be proactive and be part of the solution not the problem.

Have you ever had your palm read or had a tarot reading? If you are doing this for fun then enjoy just as you would gambling for fun knowing that the odds are in the houses favour. Now if for just one moment you actually believe that any one-person in this world can tap into supernatural powers and predict anything then you need to take a trip back to reality. Fantasy is a fun place to visit but you eventually have to come home. I realize reality sucks and that we are all looking for an edge in life but lying to yourself or believing the lies of other is not going to help. The truth always has a way of finding you.

To those of you who claim to have any kind of Psychic ability unless you have proof of this that is credible stop pretending. You know that you’re full of shit. If you really could predict anything of value you would be rich with lottery winnings. You prey upon gullible individuals who usually are in a crisis in their life. You should be ashamed of yourself. There is absolutely no credible evidence now or ever to proof that anyone has psychic abilities. Your abilities might be impressive but they are not of a supernatural nature. You are just very good at cold reading and bullshit.

An entire industry that is very successful including books, fairs, TV shows and individual readings has racked in millions of peoples hard earned money. Take responsibility for your part in the charade and stop.

To those of you who use this service if you want to call it that and believe it to be true you are just proving another example of people living in a fantasy world linked with many other lies in this world including religion.

John Edwards, A real piece of work.

Do you realize the laws of nature that would have to be broken to accommodate these delusions? Other dimensions, ghosts etc. Now when people really take advantage of the situations of others for their benefit it disgusts me. I am talking about people like John Edwards who claims to be able to communicate with the dead. He is not the only one but he is the most prominent. He knows that he is full of shit and yet he continues to put on his charade, what a piece of work.

This really is not that hard to understand. Psychics cannot do what they claim. There is no evidence for their claimed abilities. If you believe in this or anything else supernatural you are plain and simple lying to yourself. When the things they say do not come true don’t blame them blame yourself. Every once in awhile they get things right and that is part of the game but there is nothing mysterious about this. If we all could just live our life’s within the confines of reality we might discover how far those confines can be stretched. We will also discover more and more of what is true in this universe and to me that is a quest worth pursuing. I would rather listen to Stephen Hawking than any Psychic any day.

My goal is simple. It is a complete understanding of the universe, why it is as it is and why it exists at all.

Have you ever been involved in a conversation where you presented a set of facts to someone and they said to you, “well that is your opinion”? This has happened to me many times especially when I have had been talking about religion. I have presented some information on evolution or just mentioned evolution and I was told well that’s your opinion. I said “no evolution is a fact” and still they were unwilling to acknowledge the point. Why is that? How can we ever come to realize what is true and what is not if we cannot distinguish between fact and fiction?

Evolution fact or opinion? Most people don’t even understand what they deny. Acknowledging evolution will change everything. It will negate the very existence of all religions.

What does an individual have to do to deny facts? What is the difference between facts and opinion?

2. a. Something demonstrated to exist or known to have existed: Genetic engineering is now a fact. That Chaucer was a real person is an undisputed fact.

       c. Something believed to be true or real: a document laced with mistaken facts.

3. A thing that has been done, especially a crime: an accessory before the fact.

5. Law A formal statement by a court or other adjudicative body of the legal reasons and principles for the conclusions of the court.

 It was presented to me this way once. You cannot prove that god does not exist and I cannot prove that he does so therefore I can choose either way. Yes this is absolutely correct but one of those choices will be a lie, so how do we determine what is true and what is not. We cannot be sure that anything is 100% true but what we can do is deal with probabilities. There is a point where we have to agree that we will deal with what we determine to be reality so that we have a common ground when we are determining things. If we do not do this then anything can be true and we have no way of measuring anything. This is how we determine what is fact and what is not.

If someone denies that evolution is a fact there is a mound of credible evidence to support it which in doing so negates anything directly opposed to it such as religious doctrines. Anyone who denies that the holocaust is real is also deluded. There is a vast amount of evidence that also supports this historical event. Anyone who denies that global warming is happening is also deluded. The incredible amounts of evidence that demonstrate we are past the tipping point in regards to our abusive behaviour towards the planet is also another issue that people deny.

It is beyond the time that we stop fooling ourselves on many major issues that are so very important to our survival. We must stop lying to ourselves on these important issues.For example there is not 2 sides on global warming, there are just people who are willing to do something and those who are not. I will explore these issues in more detail in upcoming posts but it was important to establish a difference between fact and opinion. We all have an opinion but many don’t really know or care to know the facts.

What exactly is a miracle?

1. An event that appears inexplicable by the laws of nature and so is held to be supernatural in origin or an act of God: “Miracles are spontaneous, they cannot be summoned, but come of themselves” (Katherine Anne Porter).

2. One that excites admiring awe. See Synonyms at wonder.

3. A miracle play.

 It appears that anything deemed to be a miracle is directly related to be supernatural in origin. It would appear to be accredited to god and I will assume that would be whatever god you believe in. Throughout the bible there are miraculous acts. Jesus performed many of these such as walking on water, feeding 5000 people only with a few loafs of bread and fish and turning water into wine. Also he arose from the dead. The problem with this is that there is no credible evidence for any of the so called miracles. In fact there is absolutely no evidence for any miracles as of this date, so why do so many continue to believe in this nonsense?

Miracle on the Hudson / or just an amazing event that did not completly end in tragedy.

In this video you will see a tent meeting where Todd Bentley a self proclaimed healer and miracle worker performs his magic on the crowds. Watch how violent he gets. It amazes me how gullible people can be. I understand that some of these people have some very serious illnesses or they have loved ones who really need help. Todd and anyone like him should be completely ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of people in need. Just once I would like to see one of these so called healers grow back a limb that is gone.

There are unexplained events that happen on a daily basis but just because we cannot explain them does not mean that god is responsible. I realize as many religious people do that if you begin to question any part of a holy book and there is reasonable cause for doubt then the validity of the book and religion begins to unravel. Generally as time passes we begin to understand the unexplainable more and more. Yet still people will say the stupidest things. For example;

The event is called a miracle but what really when 1 survives and 1,000’s die is it really a miracle? A miracle would be if after the earthquake that all things were magically returned to what they were before the disaster.

Is this a miracle? Remember it would have to completly be attributed to god even the negative parts.

If you want to look for miracles you can find what you want within the natural world but you cannot call it a miracle it is just part of life. Why don’t we call it amazing or awesome? Just the fact that you are reading this and you are here against incredible odds is amazing.

Unfortunately for those who are religious the absence of miracles only proves that god, any god especially your god does not exist. This is the best news anyone could possibly ask for because now we can start to appreciate reality. Now maybe we can actually begin to heal ourselves and the planet we depend upon. Now that is amazing.
