Journal Entry # 7

There are those who wish that the end of life on this planet would happen now for they would go to their chosen heaven.  In fact they are working diligently for this to happen. That is their End Game. In the past I have written several articles in my local area that address religion and the probability that there is no god as we have determined through the major religions. It is a subject which I am very passionate about because I have the hope that one day the masses will wake up to reality. Sadly this experience has shown me that most do not want to change as they feel their delusion is not a delusion at all but is the absolute truth. It really does not matter now much information is presented sadly those who want to believe in lies will not be deterred from doing so. The body of evidence in support of the probability that there is no gods is overwhelming and I have no intention to dwell on it unless asked. I felt so strongly about this matter that I actually paid to put my articles in the paper. The link is apsleyvoice.com. Just look into the archives and I am still writing but now I have shifted my focus to the root issues which lead people to believe in lies. I still firmly believe that religion is the key to change in this world. Not believing in god but not even using gods as a reason for anything. We then can see the true reasons why we do things.

After the first article back in June 2008 I started receiving what I call the Jesus Letters which I still receive today even when I am not writing about religion. People still think they can save or convert me but they really do not read what I write. Maybe I am the one who is delusional. However I do get the odd glimpse of reason and positive comment which helps me to continue on.

I am in the process of writing a book which will take time due to the other various projects on the go but I believe that the topic of religion has been covered extensively by other authors such as Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens to name a few. My focus is different. My wife tells me that she has never met anyone who sees things the way I do and that maybe the world is not ready for what I have to share. I will share it anyway. Most likely as with our music I will be the only one reading it. However I teach my kids that if you never stick your neck out you really can’t see everything. You thought I was going to say get it chopped off.

This is the primary focus for me which I have spent my lifetime arriving at. As my cup is not even close to being full this will probably change but only if what I am replacing it with is the truth. These are the 4 guidelines or values or ideals which I try to live by. I believe they encompass all that is important in our lives. The first guideline is the most important and the other 3 fall under the first but I think they are important enough to stand on their own. I call this

“The Code”

Truth – I either acknowledge it or I don’t.

Responsibility – I am responsible for all of my actions within the house rules.

Selfish – Everything I do is selfish.

Offend – I can only offend myself.

This is the primary focus of my book.  All things can be brought to the level of the truth unfortunately we as a species spend so much time lying to ourselves and one another that the lies have become the truth. This is a messed up version of reality. Now it is not really important to understand who hijacked reality even though it helps us to determine how things got so messed up. The important matter here is to get back to reality so that we can move forward in reality. I guarantee you that you can follow all the self help books you want to or listen to religious teachings or follow anything that sounds good or easy but if it is not true it will not work even though it may appear to. What I am presenting is what already is but we have chosen to ignore it. You do not need me to get there but I am certainly willing to be a guide.

 We have the ability to decide our fate more so than any species on this planet and yet we are fucking it up royally. I chose to deal with the truth and I hope that we will as a species decide the same.
