I pretty much carry a camera wherever I go now. Once I opened my eyes to what life offers I am seeing so much. It is not that my eyes where closed before but the journey continues. I have not felt this alive in years and I will take in every moment. In fact I have so much to write about and say that soon if not now I will need help.

Please stay tuned and take this ride with me..
I now have ads on my blog page as I have many readers. Funny how so many thought I would fail at all of this and tried to bring me down but I just keep moving along.


To my family and just a few exceptions sorry you were wrong..Thanks for not supporting me as this just fueled the fire even more. I am living my life what are you doing.

At some point we need to move on when it comes to this debate on gods, any god and religion. I am all for discussing it and challenging it, I am all for people’s right to believe in it and I am all for reaching a rational conclusion and moving on but most are not.

This was offered during a discussion I was involved in around religion;

Most people are simply wrong. What can I say? I know that sounds arrogant. It’s not meant to be. But I’m a Ph.D. and life’s simply too short to devote much time to serious consideration of the vanishingly improbable.

I believe he is right and I will take the label of arrogant in doing so if it is imposed upon me. I will continue to address this with as much respect as I can without compromising what truly needs to be said but there needs to come a time when this just  needs to stop.

We obviously have a system to determine what is right and what is wrong, what is true and what is false and we use this constantly in our daily life’s but again we put this method aside when it comes to religion and faith based claims. That is just ridiculous to do.

Get up in arms if you are a believer or simply ignore what I am presenting as most will but as the hiding spots in reality become fewer and fewer for the gods of man the truth will continue to become accepted so why do we want to continue this harmful game of pretending something is real when the evidence clearly shows it is not? The claims of gods have never been satisfied and believe me they have had a very long time to offer the evidence so time to move on.

THINK ABOUT IT..

 

Time for a huge change, a conscious shift in the fundamental way we think as a species and an acceptance of a rational fact based reality.

There comes a time when each individual looks in the mirror and you know that you are just fooling yourself but you refuse to let go as this has become your identity. Well sorry but if it’s not true then it’s not true and no matter how hard you believe or pray or pretend that will not change this fact.

Time and time again we see the claim fail, from predictions to the results of acting on the beliefs and again people still cling to it like a worn out security blanket, like a
lost lucky charm or  high school romance 40 years later, time to move on no seriously time to move on.

It is insanity at the highest level to continue to pretend when everything around you verifies that what you believe is probably not real, that your beliefs are based on bad
evidence and that  people are beginning to accept this.

There is no good reason to believe that gods are real, none.

I propose 2 thoughts;

Faith is just really bad science..

All people are scientists but some are better at it than others..

The method of science (and it is a method, not a religion or people in lab coats with test tubes, it is a verified method of discovery and testing to show what is true. It works and to deny this is just silly..) has proven time and time again that we have better answers for the questions we ask than what most believe around faith. We know lots and of course have so much more to discover but that is the fun part, to discover. We cannot discover if we are closed in our beliefs if we fight reality at every turn of events, time to let go of the delusion.

The part that gets me is that the beliefs are not even good ones. They promote terrible things and are used to justify misery. We know better so let’s start acting like we do.

I agree with William and that is what I promote a change of the guard so to speak, a move towards a rational world where we will have a host of issues and problems to solve but we will solve them together from a perspective of truth.

There is no god and when I say this it is about probabilities as I ultimately do not know. As a believer you have had a very long time to prove your claim and to this day not one bit of credible evidence has been presented, not one.

You simply believe because you want something to be true that is not. I cannot for the life of me figure out why having a god would be a good thing but you all seem to think it is.

This belief in a god is your right but it is also causing so much misery on this planet. It is ripping the USA into pieces and continually causes daily misery for many. You cannot see this as you think your god is the solution and yet again we have contrary evidence showing that a belief in god is the problem but you just will not accept this fact.

I and many others have laid this out clearly. I have personally done this in many of the 538 articles I have written as I see this to be the most pressing problem facing humanity. You will not accept evidence or the facts in regards to your god and yet you follow evidence in your daily life. You deny reality when in comes to your god and yet you embrace all that science has to offer.

The most intelligent people in the world for the most part are telling you that god is not real, theses are the people that help us advance as a species, they contribute to the growth of humanity and yet you choose to follow a book written 1600 years ago by ignorant tribesman. This is insanity.

If god was real and true every person who does not believe in god would acknowledge it as true as there would be evidence to support the claim but there is not so why don’t you see this?

This game we as non-believers are forced to participate in as we care for humanity is getting old. You constantly loose at the game but will not admit defeat. You are incredibly poor losers.

If you do not value evidence then what possible evidence can I give you?

If you do not value logic then what possible logic can I use?

If you do not value reason then what reason will you accept?
What is left for you to actually value?

It cannot be faith as you will need to have a reason backed up by evidence and logic to understand what faith demands.

According to this you will value nothing and that is impossible.

Your ignorance is hurting us and I personally do not enjoy the pain of watching humanity engage in this continuous self torture.

Truth will prevail as it always does and the truth is that the gods of man are not real, time to move on, grow up and stop acting like spoiled children. The arguments have been presented and discussed and you have lost every time because reality beats fantasy every time.  I am not going to list all the reasons why your god is not real as I have already done that but the fundamental problem you face is that you have failed to satisfy your claim in any way that is reasonable and rational.

What can I say it simply is not true and that is a fact because how we determine truth shows that gods are not real. So ignore reality and continue on in your delusion if you believe in god. That is your right but I would hope that you see the consequences of these beliefs as they are daily spread across the news, in politics and in many other various forms. This should be enough evidence to demonstrate the point.

A belief in god fits this definition perfectly. My job is not to change your mind or convince you of what is true, that will be up to you I can only point the way as you try and point the way to me. The difference is I do not rely on faith I rely on evidence supported by the method of discovering truth. That method is science and reason and the process of critical thinking. I suggest you try it. You probably use it everywhere else except when it comes to your god.

Think about this. If someone like me proclaims as their highest value truth then if god was real why would I not believe.

The main thing I will hear and probably you from anyone who is a believer in a god is that it is all about faith. This is the constant theme and what they profess the most.

Well I call BULLSHIT on this.

This was a post on Face Book by a Christian demonstrating this faith and my response which I will elaborate on;

Faith can move mountains…..Revelations 3:8

When God leads you to the edge of the cliff, Trust Him Fully and let go, only 1 of 2 things will happen, either He’ll catch you when you fall, He’ll teach you how to fly! The power of one sentence! God is going to shift things around for you today and let things work in your favour. Remember OUR YAHWEH GOD WAY ALWAYS THE BEST WAY as we are ONE CHURCH (JLC) ONE VISION (CROWN) and also the best PAK JS………..

 Really, have you seen any mountains move on faith. Come on, faith doesn’t do anything. Sorry to tell you what is true…

I would love to see all the Christians test their faith at the edge of the cliff then we will know for sure now won’t we. I’ll bet after the first few don’t get caught or grow wings that no one else will be willing to jump. Reality certainly will cancel out faith.

Let’s put it to the test.

I’ll bet a third thing will happen you will continue falling and probably die saying to yourself, why did I jump off this cliff.

I guarantee you that everyone who is a believer is also a doubter and it is this doubt that should alert them to reality. Is anyone just going to jump off a cliff no questions asked, no concerns and no doubts and be 100% confident that god will save them? No, because they know that this is not how reality works. If you do not jump off the cliff then you do not have faith. Faith is not expressed when it is convenient it is an all the time thing.

So if like I have said we put it to the test we will see the reality of how humans truly view their god. I am sure the faithful will come up with all sorts of excuses as to why they would not jump off the cliff such as ; It is commanded not to test the lord my god but really these are just excuses. If god is there to protect you and guide you at all times no matter what happens if you live or die it should be the will of your god and you should trust this completely.

So if you do not jump off the cliff without hesitation and again any excuse to not jump is hesitation then you do not have faith in your god, you do not trust your god. The truth is that you really don’t have faith.

Now I will be accused of setting up a straw man here but really if you are not willing to jump and trust that you will be protected then stop professing that you have faith. You are not only lying to yourself but to everyone else as well.

True faith is an illusion, so accept why you would not jump because you understand that gravity works and that you are fragile enough that you will die. You really don’t want to die as your instincts provided to you by the evolutionary process will kick in, another example of reality not god.

So really what you and all others want is to have your cake and eat too.

It is this simple if you have faith you will jump if you have doubt you will not. I am betting that very few will jump if any.

It will just take one person to put it to the test, one brave faithful soul to show the path for others. If he is saved and floats back to safety then we have some credible evidence if not then accept the results that there is no god. Just as you would want me to accept if he floated back it works both ways. I am willing to put your faith to the test are you?

I call bullshit on this faith nonsense…..

IF you believe in a god or are involved in any of the religions of this world this message is for you. I am generalizing as I could not possibly address each person’s individual preferences in their belief.

I realize that you believe so strongly in your god that it directs your life. You take your god at his word and you have no doubt that he is real and that all that is promised will be delivered. There is probably nothing I can say that will change your mind and that is not my goal as only you can change your mind. I offer something different. I offer you to take seriously the idea that we can all be wrong. I can be wrong and you can be wrong and it is this fact that will lead to a mutually beneficial world.

In saying this I will also point out that based on what we know and how we determine what is true in this world, this reality which is the only reality that your god is probably not real. There has been no credible evidence that supports what you believe. Yes there has been evidence but none of it is verifiable in support of you god. You simply believe because it is what you desire. You want the goodies; you know, living forever, prayers answered and all that magical stuff. In order to get these you buy into the program presented by your respected faiths.

If you want to believe this who am I to stop you. What I do ask of you is to keep it to yourself and stop trying to impose your beliefs to the rest of the world. I will stop when you stop. I challenge these claims because they are harmful.

The issues your religions promote affect those that do not believe as well as those that do.

Believe in your god but above all practise the love so many preach they are all about. Stop judging others; stop trying to sell your faith to everyone. Can you not see that many of the ideals your faiths endorse are harmful? If they affect general human rights then that should give you pause to wonder why you believe what you do.

Let me be clear on this; there should be one message and one message only from each and every one of you and that message is peace and love. Anything else from your holy book that does not support this is in direct conflict and should be ignored. Lead by example, by your deeds. I should not even know your faith unless I ask.

Stop pushing what you feel your holy book says down everyone else’s throat. Keep these agendas away from those who do not believe and let your god tell us when he is ready. Stop interfering with the daily life’s of people. There is no need for churches and anything else that you feel you must do to appease your god. Just be the example of love and peace that you profess. This is not too hard to understand.

When you stop this I will stop challenging you as there will be no need for me to for I will only see the good in your faith demonstrated by your actions. As of this moment that is not the case as I see so much harm being done in the name of your gods.

You will get into your heaven or paradise just as easily if you practise love than if you push for creation in the classroom or if you stop gays from getting married or any of the many ridiculous agendas that religions try to impose on nonbelievers.

I cannot imagine an all powerful god who could not take care of any of these issues himself if he truly wanted to so if it is not bothering him why do you let it bother you.

I will have more respect for your faith if you stop telling me and others that we must be like you, that I must live a certain way and that what I am doing is a sin or wrong.

I am a human being and I feel I am a good person. I do not need your god like you do to be a productive positive human being so why do you keep telling me I do. I will stop when you stop as again I see so much harm not love being practised.

So be like the one you say you follow and be peaceful, be kind, be humble and love. No more violence and war in your god’s name we have enough problems to deal with. No more television shows promoting your agenda or billboards. No more rallies to tell me your god is right and I am wrong, Show me by being a good person and judging no one, accepting all and I will be more apt to listen. Lead by example no matter what the rest of the flock is doing, do what is right not what people say god wants.

Let your god speak for himself as I am sure he does not need you to do his work for him even though you think he does. Just be that humble servant and serve humanity.
