During the many discussions I have had with people of faith, you know the believers of gods I will hear them say as proof for their god that the evidence is all around us. Now this really is nonsense as one can use the same statement to verify anything if they want to if this is an acceptable method to proof something.
This is an example of pure lazy thinking and ignorance of reality. Now the moment I hear this argument if I have not already decided I realize that the person is not accepting any form of rational thinking on this matter and they firmly believe that their god created everything.
The evidence for evolution is all around us but of course most people who accept this line of reasoning (I hasten to call it reasoning) have no idea what evolution actually is.
During my work day in the contracting business and no I am not a scientist I have to work to make a living with my hands I see abundant wildlife. Every day the hidden world reveals itself to me. Hell over the summer I have been stung over 10 times each time by a different species of bee or wasp. I see so many different types of insects as I disturb their world as I am working. Some are prey others are predators. You have to ask yourself if god created this world why did he create such a diversity of life that we rarely take notice of? In fact many species will become extinct without us even knowing about them.
If god is the creator it is a very poor design to make certain things food and others predators but this is how nature has designed this world. You can see the adaptations that evolution has brought about through natural selection.
Today I saw 2 fascinating insects that prove this point.
The first was the Praying Mantis an awesome killing machine and the second was a Walking Stick.

Now the argument from design is called the Watchmakers arguments but just imagine how many watches that were not designed properly during the process of learning how to perfect the watch. Should we not see all these in each design or are they on a special planet for things that did not work properly.
Once you understand how evolution works and what evolution is all about any argument from design seems silly and this is the main problem for those who deny evolution they just will not take the time to understand evolution and not just pick and chose a few parts of it that support their pet belief.
Why would go make this vast hidden world that until recently with scientific advancements we are able to even know exists? He would not as this would be a very poor design. Look you really don’t have to think this through on a very difficult level to understand that Creation is just plain silly.
So when I look all around I see no evidence for god, in fact this just confirms with every glance that there is no god and we have simply created these concepts for various reasons.
The only way it can make sense to a believer is if you add the line “we just don’t understand god’s plan, why he does what he does.” More ignorance if you ask me.
The natural world is fascinating, stimulating and breathtaking if you allow it to be. It is also dangerous and violent among many other things but above all it is the natural world.
So please if you are going to use this lame argument or line of bullshit that all you have to do is look around to see god I suggest you don’t use it. Try and come up with something a little more creative if you are going to try and prove this awesome and all powerful god you worship.
