Who Hijacked Reality / #370 The death of GOD.

Journal Entry #370

In life there are certain things that are inevitable. Time always moves forward and the cycle of life and death is a natural process. If we are to survive as a species god will eventually die. Not a real god of course but the manmade concepts we call gods.

The concept of god presents the idea of freedom but this is an illusions it really represents absolute control. It is that very idea of freedom that will be the death of god. Freedom of thought will lead man to embrace critical thinking and this will lead to all other freedoms. It is the youth that will change the world.

We can see it all over the world as countries long denied the basic freedoms are at their breaking point. There has never been in the history of man more opposition and challenge to these long held concepts. People are waking up to the idea that if we continue along the same paths we have been on it will lead to our destruction and the basic desire to survive will prevail.

We must embrace our evolution and give up the archaic beliefs that have been the justification for so much misery. I and many others are speaking out, challenging the claims and asserting our rights to live in a peaceful world and we see the belief in lies with gods being the dominant one as destructive. It is time for god to die, all gods and all concepts that are related to delusional thinking.

God is so small in this modern world. The universe is so vast and amazing that we can only imagine what wonders it will offer us.

We will either kill ourselves while clinging and acting the manmade gods or we will move past them. The evidence is massive to demonstrate that there are no gods and there has been no credible evidence presented to verify that the gods of man are real. I have written many posts demonstrating the evidence so now is not the time. It is the time to predict that god is dead and now it is just time to prepare the eulogy and say goodbye.

The concept of god has had its place in history. It was the answer to the questions we realized we wanted to explore but we have much better answers now and we understand the concept of truth and how we verify it.

God is Dead and the quicker we get through the mourning process and stop the denial the quicker we can get on with the process of building a better life for humanity. That really what is where we are at we are moving through the 5 steps of grief denial, anger, bargaining depression and acceptance. The sooner we get to acceptance the better we will be.

It is almost like we are dealing with the first 4 steps all at the same time. Time to move on.

GOD IS DEAD  time to accept this fact.

Who Hijacked Reality / #365 We are guided by our needs, or desires.

Journal Entry #365

February 28th, 2011

Our needs and our desires are what get us up in the morning. They drive us to do all that we do. This is fundamental to our existence so how does this relate to our beliefs?

I often say to the faithful when I am talking with them;

Would you still follow god if there was no magic in it, if there was nothing for you to gain? What if god said all people go to heaven whether you believe or not and that is all I am offering you. It doesn’t matter what you do here on earth you will still have eternal life all of you. Would you still follow god while you were here?

Now this is a simplistic but effective method of showing that they believe because of what they will get out of it. The answer I usually get is of course I would but I really don’t think they are thinking it through or being honest. It is based on the desires they have just as my beliefs are based on mine as they will quickly point out to me. Yes they are correct but I tell them that my desire is to value the truth.

How can one compete with the offer off eternal life? It was pointed out to me that I will never convince anyone because I have nothing to offer them in exchange and they are right I don’t have anything that will compete with the fulfillment of those desires but who actually does?

I cannot offer;

Eternal life.

Prayers answered.

Answers of life after death.

Forgiveness from sin.

Comfort of a guiding father figure.

Cure from illness and all life’s problems solved.

Now I dare anyone to prove that they can actually offer this as well and that it will be true.

I simply cannot and will not compete with these wishes fulfilled. I can only offer my view, what I have learned and experienced in life and what I believe to be true based on how life really works. Apparently this is not good enough for the vast majority of humanity.

I am not here to save anyone and neither is anyone else we are just here to exist and to have that existence be the best possible experience we can. The sooner we realize this, the best possible experience it will be for all of us.

Most people do not think through what they are really desiring, the consequences of these beliefs. I would like to relate a story;

The Gilded Cage

Here I sit in this gilded cage surrounded by those daily looking at me.

I once ruled the world. I once had all the power a man could ever desire. Everyone worshipped me and obeyed my every command.

I was once a nobody and one day I discovered I had the power to live forever. That was 100,000 years ago. I used that power in so many ways for good for evil but always for my own desires. What I did not realize is that because I did not age or die I also remained the same, I did not evolve. As humanity evolved around me I did not take notice until one day they had evolved to the point of passing me in every way, I had gone the way of the Dodo except I could not die so they just put me on display.

Now here I sit in this gilded cage surrounded by those daily looking at me.

Everything in life we do has consequences and people really just need to take a minute and think things through.

Who Hijacked Reality / #96 You are exactly where you want to be.

Journal Entry # 96

 June 15th, 2010

I seem to have the deepest conversations with my son. I guess after being around me his entire life we dispense with all the formalities and get right to the heart of the conversation. We got heavily involved in an argument about this statement. He was working with me this summer as I am a self employed contractor because he could not find another job before he went off to university this fall. He said “I’m here but I don’t want to be’ to which I replied if you didn’t want to be here you would be somewhere else”. I said “you are exactly where you want to be”.

want

Of course he adamantly disagreed with me saying that just because he was working with me did not mean he wanted to be. I said if he did not want to be here then why was he? This is the essential question. Now the argument continued and as usual it boiled down to the meaning of certain words. In this case the words were desire and want. Is there a difference between these words?

want (wnt, wônt)

v. want·ed, want·ing, wants   v.tr.

1. a. To desire greatly; wish for: They want to leave. She wants a glass of water. See Synonyms at desire.

    b. To desire (someone to do something): I want you to clean your room.

de·sire (d-zr)

tr.v. de·sired, de·sir·ing, de·sires

1. To wish or long for; want.

2. To express a wish for; request

                             Desire

 As you can see want means desire and desire means want so basically they are the same which was my point to him. My question to my son was this; if you are not the one who determines where you are or what you do then who is? What I think people mean when they say they don’t want to be somewhere or they don’t like what is involved in their life at the time is not want or desire but preference. It is not always the recent actions that determine where you are at at the present it is a combination of all the moments / decisions in your life that bring you to the point you are at in this moment. Although we are responsible for this our actions are not the only influence there are many things absolutely  beyond our control, The house rules as I like to call them.

The whole idea of the conversation  that I was trying to get across to him was this; He was responsible for being there and it is exactly what he wanted so he should be wary of all decisions that he makes on any given moment and accept responsibility for the actions.

blame

         Who Are You Going to Blame?

So next time you don’t like something that is going on in your life remember you are exactly where you want to be. You cannot blame anyone else. The good thing about this is that you are also the one that can change the situation so don’t accept what you say you don’t want because if you do that means you really do want it.
