Weeping statues crying tears of healing oil, Wow this actually goes against all the laws of nature and of course when tested it will be a hoax. So why do people have to be so gullible to actually believe that this is real? It is just all part of believing in the fantasy.

I urge people to use common sense in life and deal with reality. If god was real and actually wanted to let us know he was there I am sure he could come up with a better magic trick than a weeping statue. If you believe this is real then you really are hooked into the fantasy world of religion.

The woman who owns the statue of the Virgin Mary some are calling a miracle is asking for donations from the public for a looming court battle against the city of Windsor. The statue is said to smile during the day and weep tears of oil at night. Fadia Ibrahim says she`s had visions of the Virgin Mary who told her people will suffer in 3 years if they don`t go to church. But city officials want the structure around the statue removed because it violates zoning bylaws. She also says she`ll need another $1,500 for court fees. Ibrahim has been told she has until November 19th to remove the statue`s enclosure. She`s collecting signatures on a petition in hopes of keeping the statue in its current location in front of her house.

Now if you read the article I linked there appears to be no court battle at all. They actually say it is an easy fix so why is she asking for donations?

There is not one scientifically verified miracle of this nature. Now the church of course has verified miracles but that is self verifying.

If all it took to make some money was to put a weeping statue out on my lawn and put up a donation box. I should have done this a long time ago. Wait a minute I actually care about what is true so I would not do this.

I truly hope that one day we wake up and stop believing in fairy tales and myths and Thomas Jefferson agrees with me.

Thomas Jefferson….I have examined all the known superstitions of the world, and I do not find in our particular superstition of Christianity one redeeming feature. They are all alike founded on fables and mythology.

Have you ever had your palm read or had a tarot reading? If you are doing this for fun then enjoy just as you would gambling for fun knowing that the odds are in the houses favour. Now if for just one moment you actually believe that any one-person in this world can tap into supernatural powers and predict anything then you need to take a trip back to reality. Fantasy is a fun place to visit but you eventually have to come home. I realize reality sucks and that we are all looking for an edge in life but lying to yourself or believing the lies of other is not going to help. The truth always has a way of finding you.

To those of you who claim to have any kind of Psychic ability unless you have proof of this that is credible stop pretending. You know that you’re full of shit. If you really could predict anything of value you would be rich with lottery winnings. You prey upon gullible individuals who usually are in a crisis in their life. You should be ashamed of yourself. There is absolutely no credible evidence now or ever to proof that anyone has psychic abilities. Your abilities might be impressive but they are not of a supernatural nature. You are just very good at cold reading and bullshit.

Psychic Drawing FAIL

An entire industry that is very successful including books, fairs, TV shows and individual readings has racked in millions of peoples hard earned money. Take responsibility for your part in the charade and stop.

To those of you who use this service if you want to call it that and believe it to be true you are just proving another example of people living in a fantasy world linked with many other lies in this world including religion.

John Edwards, A real piece of work.

Do you realize the laws of nature that would have to be broken to accommodate these delusions? Other dimensions, ghosts etc. Now when people really take advantage of the situations of others for their benefit it disgusts me. I am talking about people like John Edwards who claims to be able to communicate with the dead. He is not the only one but he is the most prominent. He knows that he is full of shit and yet he continues to put on his charade, what a piece of work.

This really is not that hard to understand. Psychics cannot do what they claim. There is no evidence for their claimed abilities. If you believe in this or anything else supernatural you are plain and simple lying to yourself. When the things they say do not come true don’t blame them blame yourself. Every once in awhile they get things right and that is part of the game but there is nothing mysterious about this. If we all could just live our life’s within the confines of reality we might discover how far those confines can be stretched. We will also discover more and more of what is true in this universe and to me that is a quest worth pursuing. I would rather listen to Stephen Hawking than any Psychic any day.

My goal is simple. It is a complete understanding of the universe, why it is as it is and why it exists at all.

 Idolatry is usually defined as worship of any cult image, idea, or object, as opposed to the worship of a monotheistic God.

I must admit I am a closet fan of this show and Parking wars. It amazes me the lengths people will go to get what they perceive is their dream. Now I am mostly interested in the initial stage of the show and not the fanfare that happens latter on. I guess I like to watch people completely try and fulfill their fantasy world. The opposite to that is that it disgusts me to watch these hopefuls being used and spit out by The Machine. That is what I call the part of the music business that basically uses these artists for their personal gain. This is what the buying public seems to want so I assume there will always be someone there to fill the need.

Why do I call this American Idolatry? When anything is worshiped to the point American Idol is it shows me that society is out of balance. It is just a show. The basic idea of the show is to make a profit. It is a great idea as far as a business is concerned. This is the same old pop music business that has been around for awhile. For some of the contestants it is a blessing if they are looking for fame, but not for most. If you want to be a pop star then this is the way to go. I really don’t think that most people auditioning for the show truly have the dream of being a singer it is the dream of being famous that draws them in.

First we have to understand how the show works. Now usually at each audition there will be approx 10,000 people showing up all with their hopes and dreams of being a star in tow. The celebrity judges are not going to see each and every person so there is a filtering process.  The judges don’t come until the later stages of the process when the rest of the staff has filtered it down to 100 people or so.  Now most of the people who audition are just average neither great nor terrible singers. What the show wants is a mix of above average and really bad singers.  Now do you think that the really bad singers think their bad? I would imagine that most really think there good and of course the lie or delusion is that they are not. Then when they are insulted at the auditions they are heartbroken.  I would also imagine that the 1,000’s of others who did not make it through the process really thought they could be a star as well.

I just love it at the beginning of the show when Ryan Seacrest says These are your American idols. What a sickening thing. Admire someone for what they are trying to do, have a doctor as an idol not an aspiring pop star who is being moulded by The Machine. There are literally thousands of bands and hopefuls trying to get there music heard. I just signed up for a band profile on CBC Radio 3 and it stated that there were 21,000 bands on this site. Maybe some of them want to be worshipped maybe some just want to be professional at what they love to do.

 I love the fact they there is a music industry that can produce great music and art but what to me American idol and similar shows represent is that desire to be a star, a celebrity. I think this is a sad state. Be an artist because you love it. If you ever have the opportunity to get paid for what you love to do then you truly have reached a great place in your life. Worshipping people because they are pop stars is really not cool in my opinion.

Don’t let someone else determine if you are going to be successful in life. If you do make it as a star that star does not shine for very long. There is the odd exception but the odds are incredibly high. At the end of the day do music or whatever it is you want to do because you love it.  At least you won’t end up on celebrity rehab.

Who Hijacked Reality / #1 Let this be the Moment of Truth

My name is Gary David Currie. This is the first entry in my informal journal that I wish to share with whoever wants to read it. My goal is simple. I want to live in a world where humanity is at its best. Where all can be safe and where peace is the order of the day. It is simple to achieve. It will be as difficult as we make it.

I believe that any one person can change the world. One idea, one concept when acted upon can make a difference. I like many others although not enough have chosen to act rather than sit on the sidelines wishing for things to happen. Where do you stand? Do you even care? Why should you?

I will act through music, writing and speaking out. My goal is to achieve open, respectful communication.

In order for things to change we first must identify how we got in this mess in the first place. Then we can act upon a solution that will benefit us all. Most of humanity could not give 2 shits about what I am writing. We care only for ourselves. We are inherently selfish. We must recognize this and chose to be unselfish. We must recognize the truth in all matters.

The root problem is simple. We believe in and act upon lies. We do this in all areas of our lives from religions to relationships to governments. We ignore the truths to live in a fantasy world. It is this fantasy world that is the gateway to ignorance. We ignore reality. I want to know who hijacked reality and how do we get it back?

Let me present to you this simple myth. All musicians and artists are rich. As a independent artist I have put my own money into making our music and all areas related to this project. I want the music to be heard so I have no problem with people downloading it and passing it on to others but I am not rich I am just a working stiff like you who also loves music and I feel I have something to say. Artists need the support of their fans so if you like our music or what we are trying to achieve support us by buying the cd.

I have a plan that I will share with you. I want peace. In fact I believe that the majority of humanity wants peace so why do we keep listening to the wrong people. If you have seen the movie Avatar you should have been blown away by every aspect of it but I want to focus on one of the messages of the movie. We are destroying our very existence by biting the hand that feeds us. We are abusing the earth and I think it has had enough. For all of you out there who believe that we are not or that global warming does not exist or that the resourses will last forever you are lying to yourself. Time to wake up, the facts speak for themselves. Again we believe in lies or as I like to put it we are not acknowledging the truth.

I do believe that the biggest lie today and a major source of our problems is the belief in superstitions and myths especially religion in all its forms. This is why I concentrated on this topic in our music. We must get past this and enter into a new time of reality.

This journal will be a reflection of my thoughts with the hope that just one person will see something that will be the spark that will move humanity forward in a positive direction.

I will end this entry with some lyrics from a song that will be on the next album.
