Journal Entry #623

December 4th, 2011

Today I released our latest music video called “Left are the Memories”. I wrote this song about 3 years ago but was waiting for the right time to record and release it.  The song is about dealing with loss in our life’s be it due to death or any other form.

I had hoped to convey a message that with our without god we still must get to a point where we realize that what we have are the memories and we can at that point chose to focus on the good or on the  bad. This is how people live on with us.

I hope this song speaks to those that feel they need it. I hope I have offered a connection for those that need it. I will tell you I put a lot of work into both the song and the video and a big thanks to those that helped.

A special thanks to my wife Kelley for playing the beautiful ghost that certainly helped set the mood I was looking for. I thank her for her willingness to go out in public in her pyjamas.

I dedicate this song to all those who have lost someone either through death or other means.

“Left are the Memories” by THE FREEMAN..I am the creator of the music and video. I hope that this song offers you a connection.  Please share as you never know who this will touch.

The guitar solo alone is worthy of your attention and should stand the test of time..

Verse 1

I hear your voice I hear you call

But your so far away            ( so far away)

Where did you go, I need to know

I miss you

(corus)

Are you free, are you falling

Are you alive are you calling  me

to be with you for  eternity

or all that is left  is the memories

Left are the memories

Left are the memories

Left are the memories

Verse 2

Am I dreaming is this real

your so far away               ( so far away)

Where did you go I need to know

I miss you

Who Hijacked Reality / #359 Let’s take a dip into the UNKOWN. “The Green Lady”

Journal Entry #359

February 22nd, 2011

Have you ever had that moment when you felt like you were awake and something was happening but at the same time you felt paralyzed to move? You were moving but not moving at the same time? Then you woke up and realized that you are still in bed or lying down. You had to take few moments to get your bearings. Some may call this an out of body experience; I call it something in the unknown.

The unknown is the area in life that we experience that we really have no logical or handy explanation for. Are they real? What do they mean?  I don’t know and that is the answer that should be given. The problem exists when we assign an explanation for the unknown when really it is still unknown.

The mind is the most mysterious fascinating area we have yet to master in understanding and the source for the mystery in our lives. I personally have tried all sorts of experimentation and I will leave that to your imagination to see its potential but I always come back to reality as my foundation.

Let me share a story with you that will leave you wondering why I think in such a logical reasonable manner.

About 21 years ago I was working as a guard in a youth correctional facility.  The buildings were located on an old estate that had been willed to the county. The main office building was a large colonial house with the standard giant white pillars out front. There was an old legend there that all newbie’s were told to create mystery. We told it the kids to keep them wondering.

It was called “The ghost of the Green Lady”. Legend has it that the original owners’ wife who was very young one night was found dead. She was beautiful with long flowing black hair. She was found dead in a long green dress. She had killed herself. Since that time many stories had been told about her ghost still haunting the grounds.  Of course I just enjoyed the prank and carried on with it.

One night I had my own experience.

We were on the night shift which was from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. We locked the kid’s in at 11:00 and lights out at 11:30. We then had to perform checks every half hour on the cells and keep our ears open. We worked in pairs on this shift with a floater leaving at 11:00 pm. We were not supposed to sleep but we did anyways, never both of us only one which required a lot of trust in your partner.

It was about 4:00 am and we had just switched off on the sleeping. The night was going well. I was the one sleeping now. I was about 45 minutes into it when my partner woke me up. I thought we were having an incident so I bolted up as you never really sleep fully in these conditions. He said “Quiet”.  We both noticed the light switches turning on and off by themselves. I could literally see the switch moving up and down.  I must tell you I got shivers down my spine. I was too afraid to move so I just sat there. We then started hearing weird noises. I can’t explain them but they were not the usual sounds we hear in the unit we worked in. What happended next remains to this day in the realm of the unknown?

An apparition appeared just before the wall and then vanished through it. It was the Green Lady exactly as described by many. Just before she went through the wall she turned her head and looked at us both. I could see the pain in her eyes.

I turned to my partner and we both looked at each other in silence. There was nothing to explain and to be honest we just kept it to ourselves. I can see this experience as if it happened yesterday.

Was it the Green Lady? Was it my imagination? I really don’t know. What I do know is I can’t explain it but I did not go off on some ghosts are real quest my entire life. Will I ever find the answer? Probably not and I will put it down as a very cool experience in my life.

I will let the UNKOWN remain in the UNKOWN and I am just fine with that. We all have cool stories that we cannot explain. We all have experiences that define us daily but we should enjoy the mystery without indulging in delusional thinking.

She sure was beautiful.

We all have a “GREEN LADY” somewhere in our life.

Seek the truth always
