Journal Entry #363

What does this mean? Do people actually make a conscious choice to go against the general flow of humanity? What does it actually mean to be normal? Does one look for attention by being different and really aren’t we all different in the first place?
The road less traveled is often difficult and rewarding at the same time. It may be a good path to follow or it may be full of peril. I will say it is less congested, has fewer ruts and a better view. Is there a toll to travel here and is it worth the price you pay? Why is it that the road less traveled usually becomes congested when others see few there?
I can only describe my journey and why I chose this road. I do it not because I want to avoid what is popular but because for me it is the right path. Even if everyone was on this road I would still take it. I might try and stand out by other means but the road I travel is based on the truth. Now everyone thinks they have found the truth so what is really true?
This is the question now isn’t it?
We all want to be accepted and valued so why take a road that does not lend itself to these needs? I would say there are many roads that are less traveled and it can be a lonely road. Eventually the roads connect and this is where we can join with others on a similar path.
As I heard it put once “You are exactly where you want to be”
If there is one constant in humanity I have noticed it is our insatiable need for something new. We change trends quickly and since change is a constant I would say the important part is to be aware of what changes you make. Do you make them because they are right or because they are right for you?
I have asked many questions here and talked in a few circles but the point I am making is this;
If you are on the road less traveled just to be different then you are on the wrong road. If you are on the road because you feel it is the right thing to do and you would take this road no matter how congested it is then maybe you are on the right path.
